Soul x Reader: Fireworks

 'Alright' You think to yourself, 'Today's my day, I'll tell Soul that I love him.....and actually do it this time.' Well you tried to confess your feelings to him before but fear got in your way and you always chickened out last minute. But you were done with your parners constant teasing and urging, you were going to confessed weither he rejects you or not.

 You finish your outfit with your red, white, and blue bow on the right side of your head, holding up any stray strands of hair. You go all out with this, your wearing your favorite blue jeans, your white shirt with the american flag on it, and your red vans. You head down stairs just as Brian, your Miester, calls to you,"Hey! ________, We need to get going! We can't be late!" as you reach the bottom of the stairs you reply,"Okay, I'm here, lets go~"

   You two make your way the DWMA just as Soul and Maka are. Oh, joy! "Yo, Soul, Maka." Brian says, "Hey.." You trail trying not to stare at Soul. But you had to admit Maka's hair was adorable, her hair was tied up in her usual pigtails, but instead of hair ties, it was red, white and blue ribbons tied together, other than that she just had some american flag bracelets. "Hey, Brian, _______." Maka smiles, all Soul says is, "Sup." You almost laugh because Soul had flags and poorly painted eagles on his face. The four of you walk into class. Maka was all well aware that you had a crush on her partner, even before you told her. 

~Time skip~

The classes dragged on a little longer than you would have liked but now thats over. Now you got to go hang out at Maka and Soul's house after some convincing Brian. The entire time it was small talk, you stayed silent most of the time, after you realised that Brian would do most of the talking and the ony people you'd talk to was your miester and Maka. Maka asked you a question but you were spacing so you utter a ,"Hmm?" She giggles, and repeats herself, "______, would you like something to drink?" You nod, "Uh, sure..."  "Woah, she talked. Good work Maka, you got her to say more than one word," He looks you straight into your eyes and continued, " You should really talk more, your voice sounds nice....Plus its totally uncool to not talk out either." You smile, with a slight blush, "Thanks....I don't know if I should take that as a compliment or......Ah, never mind." 'Wow, nice cover Soul.' you think to yourself.

~Time skip again, to 4th of July party~

You had to admit, Kid's house was really nice....Compaired to your and Brian's little appartment. "Alright! Time for the fireworks!" Kid calls from the backyard of his house. Everyone gathers and pulls out they're blankets and lays down in the grass. Since Brian and yourself went to Maka and Soul's house you didn't get your own blankets, and they only had two spares. You plop down on one of the blankets crosslegged. You hear someone sit down next to you, you turn, expecting to see Brian, but your eyes meet with deep red. You gasp sightly and Soul laughs," You were expecting Brian, huh?" you laugh and scratch the back of your head, "Yeah, I kinda was..."  "Its cool, Maka and Brian told me you wanted to tell me something?" you sigh, 'Damn......' You think to yourself, "Y-Yeah....Uh Soul?" He looks at you expectantly, "I....I u-uh..." He rolls his eyes ,"Could you please get to it? You're starting to sound like Crona." You nod 'Ohh..Brian is going to have hell to pay when this is done.' You think then continue, "S-Soul *ehem* I, uh......I really liked you for sometime now....and thats all I have to say..." In the back round everyone is counting down to the fireworks, '10, 9, 8' "So, you....like, me?" "Y-yeah." you nod. '7, 6, 5' Instead of looking shocked, Soul flashed his signature smile and laughed," Now I feel uncool for not telling you first!" '4, 3, 2' Your heart skips, and he holds your face with the palm of his hand and,'1' your lips meet his. Your heart feels like its running a marathon. The fireworks shoot up behind you two while your lips stay together. When you pull away, you hear Maka sigh and say ,"How romantic~"

    Everyone cheers and sing-songs,"HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY~" And lets just say since then, you and Soul became a little more than just friends~
